There are times in our lives that when someone will tell you something, and it literally throws your whole life out of the loop. What do you do when that news comes? When that loved one, gives you that heartbreaking news? Or when your child tells you the one thing that, that you as a parent can't even wrap your mind around? When you feel like your whole world is Falling Apart?
Do you walk away from the one person that really needs you? Because you see, their whole world is caving in. Are they feeling the Lord more than they ever did? Are you showing them that the Lord still loves them? Are you showing them that you still love them? Or are you still wrapped up in your own pity party because of the news that they just shared with you?
As Josh Wilson shares in his song:
Blessed are the ones who understand
We got nothing to bring but empty hands
Nothing to hide and nothing to prove
Our heartbreak brings us back to You
And it all seems upside down
I have been so wrapped up in my own pity party, that I haven't even taken the time to see what my loved one is going through, or how this is going to impact their life. I pray that the Lord will take over my thoughts and give me the eyes to see and the love for them that He has. Give me wisdom to direct, wisdom on how to pray and wisdom on what to say....because their whole life is getting ready to fall apart in the next few weeks.

Have you ever taken a look into what your putting on your head?
Sodium Lauryl Sulfate
Sodium and ammonium lauryl sulfates are anionic alkyl sulfate surfactants. They are ingredients that change the surface tension of water using negatively charged ions. This change in surface tension allows dirt and oil to stick to the cleanser and wash away. These ingredients also cause shampoos to foam. Anionic surfactants are harsh on your hair, according to the book “The Beauty Brains," which notes that that nonionic cleansers are less harsh on your hair. Sodium and ammonium lauryl sulfates have also come under scrutiny for their potential health effects. A statement issued by the Cosmetic Ingredient Review states that sodium lauryl sulfate causes skin and eye irritation in large quantities. The statement notes that changes to skin were observed when a build-up of the ingredient was tested on laboratory mice. Despite being approved by the Food and Drug Administration for personal care products, sodium and ammonium lauryl sulfates are harsh chemicals. The Organic Consumer's Association notes that these chemicals can dry your hair too much, potentially leading to damage and breakage.
Fragrance
The generic listing of “fragrance” or “parfum” can be found on many shampoos. Fragrances are chemicals synthesized to resemble natural smells. The term "fragrance" can indicate up to 4,000 different chemical ingredients, according to “Cosmetics Unmasked.” These chemicals are not always obvious–acetone, a primary ingredient in nail polish remover, is one such chemical that may be included in fragrances. Formaldehyde, a tissue preservative and ethanol, or alcohol, are two more of the potential ingredients lurking behind the “fragrance” moniker, as noted by “Cosmetics Unmasked.” These ingredients can strip hair of its essential oils and even cause minor damage to the hair follicle itself.
Propylene Glycol
Propylene glycol is an ingredient that adds moisture to hair. It's also a penetration enhancer. Propylene glycol allows the ingredients in shampoo to penetrate deeply into the hair shaft to impart moisture, as outlined in “A Consumer's Dictionary of Cosmetic Ingredients.” While it may make hair look healthier and shinier at first, repeated use of the chemical as a penetration enhancer can ravage the hair follicle, damaging the structure and integrity of hairs over time. Propylene glycol is also used as an industrial lubricant and as a “safer” anti-freeze in cars. The chemical is a petroleum by-product and the formula for cosmetic propylene glycol and industrial propylene glycol doesn't differ by much, according to “Cosmetics Unmasked.”
I also found a site that was saying that some of these ingredients cause tumors in rats. Hmmmm, and we are putting it on the LARGEST organ of our body! Our skin.

And life goes on...
So here we are today....gearing in for Teka to arrive tomorrow. I have a babysitter all lined up so I can go pick her up at the airport 2 hours away at 2:00 pm.
She gets a call tonight, 'Sorry ma'am, but your flight has been cancelled'. WHAT? CANCELLED? Are you going to get me a new flight? 'Um.. no ma'am...you'll need to call United for that' So she calls United...'Sorry ma'am, you need to call US Airways about that' ..... This went on for 3 hours...yes, 3 hours. Finally they found a flight for her...leaves there at 2:30 pm, but doesn't get here until 11:30 pm...bleh! She called customer service to file a complaint and the lady in the complaints department was ruder then all the others. Here is what happened: ........ i asked to speak to a supervisor to see if i could get anything out of it.. she was so short and rude. and i was like , you know,,, if you wanted to keep a customer you think you would do something to help out . she was like yes i usually do. but your case is different i can't upgrade and im not going too.. i was so mad i hung up on her.......... This was United and US Airways. This is also not the first time they have messed things up with our flights. I will never fly with them again....PERIOD!

The beginning of life today
There are some days that you just wake up feeling overwhelmed. That is what today feels like for me. The kids are getting up earlier, which means it is harder for me to get in the word. I usually get up about 6:30 so I have 30 to 45 minutes to just sit with my cup of coffee and be with my Jesus. That hasn't happened for a few days, and I'm feeling it. My patience is running very thin with my 3 children and my grand-daughter. The whining of the 3 yr old, the constant 'No's' of the 2 yr old, the air-headedness of the 5 yr old and the know-it-all of the 7 yr old, have me almost over the edge. I wish I could say that I was this awesome mom, who sits with her children and does crafts, goes to the park, finds all these creative things for them to do....but I'm not. It takes everything in me to keep my house clean, kids fed and clothed, homeschooling done and taking care of my husbands needs.
This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9
